My name is Jyoti Saini, a wedding planner in the GTA, and I wanted to leave this review as Kortright was absolutely amazing as I was trying to search for a venue 2 weeks prior to my client's wedding day back in April of this year. With my client's Hindu wedding date set for Sunday May 9th, 2021 and a lockdown announcement for Ontario going into effect in early April, we had to change our plans and hurry to find an outdoor venue (the original venue was indoors and my clients did not want take a risk that comes with an indoor setting given these times). Kortright was able to accomodate my clients, their guests and the vendors in all of 2 weeks! The ceremony was set up in their beautiful Glasshouse and patio heaters were even provided as early May is quite chilly. The Kortright team, Stephanie in particular, were incredibly accommodating and most importantly, practicing all of the health and safety guidelines that came with executing a wedding during the lockdown. Although my clients could only have a 10-person wedding, they had the absolute best day and were in love with the venue selection. Thanks so much Kortright team! (:

After having to push our wedding twice due to Covid restrictions, our original venue was still unable to open. We reached out to Kortright a mere three weeks prior to our wedding date as part of our search for an alternate venue. Kortright was very accommodating and gave us the flexibility we needed to successfully pull off the wedding. Under the tight timeline, Kortright was still able to provide food in take-out boxes, and arrange logistics and timeline for our vendors. Kortright ensured our event ran smoothly and we'd highly recommend! We had our ceremony in the Glass House and it was beautiful.

We held our wedding ceremony in the Glass House at Kortright EventSpace. The entire team, especially Stephanie were very accommodating and easily accessible via phone/email. The venue itself is beautiful and the team at Kortright executed everything perfectly and everything was well coordinated with our vendors. We got married during Covid and all safety protocols were followed. Thank you for everything.

Where to begin… September 2019, my wife and I had just gotten engaged. My wife already had an idea of what venue she wanted to use for our reception. The Kortright Center by Peter and Pauls seemed to be exactly what she wanted. She organized a meeting with Stephanie who is the social sales manager for Kortright. She was easy to work with, well prepared and knowledgeable. On the tour Stephanie showed us the three venue locations they had at Kortright. Originally my wife wanted to use the Glass House, but after creating a guest list, we agreed that the Forest Gallery would be a better option as it accommodated more people. We went ahead and booked it. Fast forward to mid-2020, the new pandemic government restrictions were put in place. Fifty people was the maximum number of people allowed indoors. Our families were too large and important to us to cut our list down to fifty. So my wife came up with a back up plan. Since one hundred people were still allowed in gatherings outdoors, we moved the event to a property owned by some relatives. But we now stood at a cross roads - keep the event at Kortright with fifty guests, or move it and risk losing our deposit. We decided to talk with Stephanie to see if we could possibly use the deposit towards catering. After discussing it with her, she gave us the contact information of the general manager; Yiagos who advised we can use it towards catering. From there, we began planning an outdoor wedding – tent and all. Yiagos was great. He was easy to work with and willing to do anything to help us. We worked with Yiagos and another administrator, Bobbi to organize the satellite kitchen and all of the other required details. Less than two weeks from the wedding, new restrictions were put in place. The maximum number of people on private property outdoors was reduced to twenty five. All of the planning my wife and everyone did was thrown away. Planning two weddings had already been difficult and stressful. Fortunately, Yiagos took initiative and booked off the day for us at Kortright immediately – without even us having to call. We didn’t tell him to keep it booked, he just did it for us just in case. What a life saver! On such short notice we met with Yiagos so see what we could do to accommodate our wedding of about eighty people. He told us that the glass house was considered outside and wouldn’t violate any restrictions. To keep people spaced apart and in separate social bubbles he allowed us to incorporate a tent for additional space beside the glass house. It started at Kortright, moved to a different location, and then back to Kortright. After all that, our wedding was spectacular. It was beautiful, intimate and classy. Words cannot express how happy we are. Peter and Pauls worked wonders for us. Thank you Stephanie, Yiagos, Francesca and Bobbi for working with us and giving us our dream wedding! Forever thankful.

This August, my wife Chanel and I decided to go through with a smaller, more intimate wedding at the Kortright Centre. Despite evolving government restrictions, the Peter and Paul's team at the Kortright Centre went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was top notch. Francesca, Stephanie, and Yiagos were outstanding to work with. We communicated with them regularly throughout the planning process and even though we had to adapt our original wedding plans to meet the new provincial requirements, they worked with us to ensure that every aspect of our wedding day was well thought out, meaningful and safe for everyone. Our wedding was a huge success because of their efforts and was more than we could have ever hoped for. The venue is truly one of a kind, and when the Cathedral of Trees and Glass House were all set up for our ceremony and micro-reception, it was truly a special place. The forest is breathtaking, and there is really no other place like it in Toronto. After our wedding ceremony, the bridal party enjoyed a 5 star reception in the Glass House. The food was terrific, and Summit, the Chef was wonderful to work with as well throughout to ensure the menu met our needs. Make sure you try their focaccia! We will be recommending Peter and Pauls for years to come.

If you love nature and perhaps getting married under a cathedral of trees, the Kortright Centre is a great place for a wedding. It's for those who want a more "green" wedding, but still classy, nonetheless. Revenues from weddings at the centre helps to support the education programs held there, so it's a great place to have the wedding of one's nature loving dreams while also giving back to nature and conservation at the same time.
