Its green practices today are energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly LED lighting and built-in AV equipment.
Kortright Eventspace
Although Kortright Eventspace loves hosting intimate affairs and special events, they primarily operate as an educational program facility and workshop for sustainable practices and technology. They have over 50 educational programs, 30 different sustainable technology workshops, and multiple on-site nature and species preservation centers on-site! You can certainly count on having your event be as green as possible with their guidance, especially since they have their own recycling program. Toronto Botanical Garden
Toronto Botanical Garden‘s green team initiative has completely transformed their venue’s sustainability practices over the years. They’ve made sure to reduce their ecological footprint tenfold through emphasizing proper waste stations, energy conservation lights, and electronic event registrations. They’ve also strongly encourage event participants to bring their own water-bottles or ceramic mugs, and only including caterers serving local seasonal foods. Sustainability isn’t a joke over at Toronto Botanical Gardens!
Daniels Spectrum
As a community cultural hub in Toronto, Daniels Spectrum‘s eco-friendly awareness meter is pretty high. Besides being fully accessible by Ontario standards, they are 100% LEED Silver TM certified; they have a green roof with native plant species, bicycle parking, low-VOC paint, carpeting and cabinetry, high-efficiency HVAC systems without hydro-fluorocarbons, storm water treatment systems, and controllable lights and thermostats to name a few. Pretty cool, if you ask us!
Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex
Being a part of Ontario’s leading Waste Diversion Management and Environmental Showcase Facility, Exhibition Place, Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex is busily involved in numerous environmental sustainability programs and practices. These programs and practices include installing 200 LED fixtures in the Artifacts, Renaissance and Centennial rooms, and adhering to strict reuse, reduce and recycle rules of their own recycling program. We love how proactive they are about the environment!
