High school sweethearts Susana and Mark made it official at a beautiful outdoor wedding that complemented both of their personalities as well as their mutual passion for the great outdoors. The results? Rustic, romantic, and elegant. The gorgeous Kortright Eventspace was chosen for its green surroundings, which worked perfectly with the couple’s wedding organic theme. Orchestrated by the creative Tracey McAteer Events and shot by the talented lens of Northern Wildflower, this is one gallery you don’t want to miss!
The incredibly unique round greenhouse used for the couple’s stunning ceremony was a highlight for the newlyweds. Susana and Mark were surrounded by a wreath of beautiful grasses and wildflowers to resemble getting married in a field. Circular seating was created in order to surround them with the love of their friends and family. The officiant, Bespoke Ceremonies, kicked off the ceremony by handing the wedding bands (which were in a decorative box with moss) to the first guest in the row. She asked the guests to pass the rings amongst the rows and for each guests to take a moment to make their wishes for the couple and their future together before passing the rings on to the next person.
Post-ceremony the couple engaged in a fun photo session with their wedding party before stealing away for some romantic shots amidst the trees.
The couple’s reception blends elegance with rustic elements. A sleek white palette worked beautifully with the colourful blooms from Wild North Flowers who was specifically chosen as they only use locally grown flowers all year long. This was particularly important to Susana who is an Environmental Instructor and has a deep love for sustainability and our planet. The addition of twinkle lights emanated an ethereal romantic vibe. Personal details such as the photo guestbook and s’more station added a touch of playfulness to the special evening.
