I would like to share my experience with Mississauga Convention Center on my Jan 19 2019 wedding. I had this venue in mind for years to use for my wedding, due to the fact that I am of Portuguese culture, and I have been to many weddings in the past and had always enjoyed the food and the venue itself was nice looking. Now that was my preconceived thought about MCC. Now that I have had my wedding there I have a totally different perspective. Initially meeting with them, the quoted price was decent and the package options were quite good. However in terms of customer service, and being accommodating they were lacking very much. They were always responsive, however whenever I asked questions, I always received a push back. Just to name a few -when I had my shower there I wanted to bring a sweet table, and they said they do not allow outside food. I have never heard of a venue not allowing a sweet table…. -also for my ceremony rehearsal, simple questions about how the room would be laid out, and if they could have chairs set up to mimic an isle for rehearsal purposes I did not receive a welcoming reponce instead I got some attitude and hesitation to advise if the 2 hall would be open, and was told that they would not have any chairs set up specifically for my rehearsal night. -I had 3 rooms booked for my wedding and had asked on multiple occasions if one of the bridal suites were larger than the other and was told again and again that they were the same size, until it came to my rehearsal were I physically checked and one was clearly bigger. -I was trying to plan the flow of the day, and asked if there was access from the back into hall C and was told there was not. I had to find out from the entertainment company that there actually is. I know these may seem like small things, but when larger aspects of the wedding depend on these details they are very important. Now lets talk about the actual day of. -I had my ceremony in hall A and they were to do a room conversion which they told me would take an hour. They reassured me that they do this all the time and they would have it done on time. They took much longer, which set back the whole schedule for the night. My photo and video were only contracted for a certain amount of time and due to this delay, I lost photo and video of the father daughter mother daughter dance. -During the room flip I had a cocktail hour. They did not have enough people serving drinks and horsdevours. I probably saw 1 server come around with a tray of drinks and 1 server with horsdevours during the whole time. People were very aggravated about this. -when the room was revealed to me they had one of the bars closed which I was told would be available. When I asked them to open it they said they would only serve coffee from there. I had to argue with them to get them to serve alcohol. I had a 430 person wedding and there was no way we would only be able to serve everyone with 1 bar. - The bar service itself was very slow, the bartenders gave a lot of attitude, and cut a lot of people off, which in my opinion shouldn’t have been cut off, such as my aunts that don’t even drink very much. - my mother inlaw asked one of the servers for water and they told her THEY HAVE NO MORE WATER and they offered her sprite. how do you run out of water?? -the head waiter which is the person that is supposed to take care of you on your wedding day was extremely rude. I heard a lot of complaints about him, and apparently there were a lot more than I was told, due to the fact people didn’t want to stress me out with problems, but there definitely were more problems that arose. -also all of my vendors had issues in dealing with MCC I would definitely think twice about booking with this venue. They have a very old school mentality, and clearly do not care to change to industry standards.

I'll be quick and short on my opinion with my lower capacity on English writing. It is going for 10 years the number of times we drove from London to Mississauga for a Night of Reveillion on Mississauga Convention Center together with another 5 couples. Every year coming back home with a felling to go back for another Special Night. On the last Reveillion 2018/2019 the evening started, as usually, very elegant, bright environment, staff with amazing attitude, Menu for the Occasion Excelente, etc., etc... Enterteniment: TNT (Super Tony) = 6 Stars; Decoration: 6 stars; Menu: 6 stars, finally "The Fevers" they MUST stay home: at 11:33 pm, we saw 5 guys on top of the (palco), initial we think they where a technicians because they look very casual for the night but they where the Fevers but with very high temperature (last of fever) but. Make the long story short: From London to see these group (from 1-10 = 0). To who may concern, i want to leave a sugestion: 3 regular bands (one from London/one from Toronto or two). The New Year's Eve it is for having fun and dancing no watch. Your facility it is just Amazing and the people in London knows that. I'm sorry but these it is just the opinion of my table (5 couples). So, this review is rather late, but better late than never. To start, the staff at MCC were absolutely wonderful and accommodating. They were also very understanding of different religions....or so they made us to believe. After having paid them $3000 as a deposit, we were on our way. Unfortunately about 7mths before our date, my grandfather passed away. I follow Hindu religion. To my understanding, belief and teachings...there isn't supposed to be any celebrations if it can be avoided. We called MCC, explained the situation and asked if we could postpone to a DIFFERENT day. We were promptly and abruptly told no and if we don't follow through, then we lose our deposit. Well...we lost our deposit. To not even an apology from MCC...no remorse what-so-ever. I guess we should have known better...had we been of Italian descent then the outcome may have been different. So, to those planning...think twice. Be very careful with this venue. If you aren't wealthy or willing to book the mother for your decor(she was attached to the hall when we were booking), nor of Italian descent....any hiccups and you are nothing more than a dollar sign.

We had another wonderful event at the Mississauga Convention Centre. Joe, Luiz and the entire team were a pleasure to work with as usual, and ensured a smooth day. We always enjoy working with Joe, he is very professional and his customer service is spot on.The set-up is always done exactly as we want it, and the location is always clean and warm. Working with MCC has been a delightful experience. Thank you all for your great work, we look forward to returning to the Mississauga Convention Centre in the spring.

Hi Cliff, I just wanted to thank you and your staff for an outstanding job on my son and daughter-in-law's wedding on Saturday June 13th. You and your staff's professionalism and attention to detail didn't go unnoticed from the planning stages to the execution of the wedding. From the time we walked into the hall, we were treated with incredible service. A big thank you to Luis, our head waiter, for being one step ahead of everything and his unbelievable intuitive skills were amazing to watch. As well, a big thank you to all the waiters, the two bartenders and staff for incredible service. I wasn't even the bride but I was treated and felt like a queen that night. From the time I walked into the hall before the guests arrived to get my first glimpse, I was in awe with the décor. It exceeded my expectations (not easy to do) with elegance and simplicity (exactly what we wanted but much more). A special thank you to Terri for the décor & Connie for putting up with all our last minute changes. Compliments to the chef& staff, the food & presentation was amazing which included a mid-night buffet. My favorite are always the malasadas and I wasn't disappointed. Thank you Luis for sneaking me a couple so that I would get some before they were all gone ? We have done a number of events at MCC for a lot of our clients last year. The venue is very big, elegant and quite fancy as they have beautiful chandeliers all over the place. The staff are very friendly and great to deal with as they helped us out a lot when we were setting up for our clients. It is indeed a classy and fancy spot to host any type of social event, we strongly recommend MCC.
