With Autumn upon us this past weekend, the changing of seasons signaled another wave of newly engaged couples being welcomed into the luxurious Mississauga Convention Centre for their 2019 wedding fair open house.
This is impressively their 21st year in operation, first opening their doors in 1999 and maintaining a steady popularity ever since. While this is not my first time covering this event, it was refreshing to be reminded of the many reasons this multi-faceted event venue with 6 separate ballrooms remains one of the city’s busiest. Digital Dream Photography captures all the details.
Fresh white florals lined the tables with green garden accents atop the tall centrepieces that stretched up to the main ballroom’s courtly 18 foot ceilings. The look was complimented with white-on-white table settings and chairs designed Elegante Decor, who have been in-house decor team at MCC for almost all of the 21 years they have been open, with furniture courtesy of Detailz Couture Event Rentals.
I loved the elegantly laminated dance-floor which was designed and printed by Axe Media Group. Fun fact: AMG is known for their creative printing including life-size print-outs of you and your wedding party – so cool!
Catering was once again supplied by their in-house team featuring an Indian spiced fish-taco, a crispy Brie and Olive Wonton, finishing with a Japanese inspired seaweed and Lima-bean salmon.
For dessert, they have a playful mini-donut station with carnival style-flipper and donut-bath to add a touch of spectacle to these delicious deep-fried treats. And yes, there was chocolate, raspberry, and caramel sauce for dipping.
It’s always a pleasure running into some familiar faces at the show including the charming team from Enduring Promises, the lovely Bernadette from Serendipity & Co. and the charged-up team from Wildcard Experience. Also a pleasure to tour the elaborate stretch limos parked outside courtesy of A Celebrity Limousine.
It was another very successful wedding fair for MCC with hundreds of couples attending and investing their beautiful Sunday afternoon in imagining their 2020 weddings within the walls of this luxurious space. Thanks again for the donuts!
