I’m the person who went on the news regarding my daughter sweet sixteen. I’m very disappointed what Vin did to us by not returning our deposit. He should have returned OUR money back.

I paid a large deposit for 2 halls in Destiny which could not hold due to COVID.Up till now I have not received formal notification that the hall is closed and I spoke to Vin in May and he said the event had to be moved to March2021. Is there a receiver in bankruptcy I have no contact whatsoever and no information whatsoever

When I received my letter re the closure/not receiving my deposit back, I was so disappointed. Not even phone call. Cowards. Lori spoke with me at the end of May wanting to know when I wanted to reschedule. Sad thing is, they will reopen with the money they’ve kept from people under a diff name/brand.

I paid large deposits to Destiny Banquet Hall to have my dream wedding. The wedding was scheduled for June 20, 2020. Due to Covid, the wedding did not happen on June 20th. No new date or contract had been signed to secure a new date, even though we had multiple conversations with Vin trying to secure a new date but he protested every time. We also asked for a refund that he denied that as well. On July 3rd I received a letter stating that the hall has closed down permanently as of June 19th and they will not be issuing any refunds of any kind. I'm heartbroken that I'm now out THOUSANDS of dollars and have to start the wedding planning process over again. I truly believe that I've been scammed and I'm determined to get my money back. Didn't received any letter they kept my deposit , change the date and confirmed by email , if I knew that they were preparing for bankruptcy. For sure they will open with another name but I will find out and that's how I'm planning to take my money back Dress and all the decorations were bought and they took myoney without remorse

I feel so shocked. Didnt know that the hall was permanently closed until I saw it on the news. I am out $4900 deposit for my daughters sweet 16th birthday.Lori assure me that we will move th date until next year and I spoke to her in May. Lori didnt even call or send any notification that the hall was closed. I am very hurt. I'm a single mom and that money ain't easy to get. They took my money and left. This is not my fault the event was canceled it was their fault. You took all customers money and ran off with it.
