About

Founded in 2010, cake artist, Christina McKenzie started her training in Visual Arts, graduating from York University with a degree in Fine Arts. Her desire to create brought her to the world of cake, cupcakes & cookies, an edible medium that quickly disappeared, and required more creation. It was the perfect fit.

With a focus on weddings, but taking care of all the other occasions in between, The Cocoa Cakery is dedicated to creating unique & custom cakes made up of fine quality ingredients paired with an artistic eye.

Christina will work with couples to design their dream wedding cake, bringing together all the inspirations of their wedding day.

My husband and I were absolutely enthralled with our cake. Christina was incredibly helpful through the entire process, and translated our vague ideas into something delightful and whimsical, that tasted delicious to boot. To this day, the cake is one of the highlight of our wedding day.

If there was one person who took the edge off & stress at our wedding, it was our cake vendor... & for a bride dealing with so many things, that's a relief! Christina was an absolute pleasure to work with! Not only is she so talented, her masterpieces of art taste amazing! She captured the aesthetic of our beach inspired July 2nd wedding & created a cake to compliment our theme! I'd highly recommend Christina for any bride to be!

I reached out to Christina from The Cocoa Cakery to make 365 cookies for my wedding reception and despite the volume, each cookie was intricately detailed, beautifully designed and delicious. She was very sweet, easy to work with, accessible and super creative. I had a distinct idea of what I wanted these cookies to look like, and Christina went above and beyond to realize my vision within my budget. Our wedding took place a month ago, but we are still receiving compliments on the cookies! I highly recommend Christina's services and will definitely call on her for future orders!

I can not thank the Cocoa Cakery enough for every thing Christina has done for me and my now husband. From the very first meeting it has been a pleasure. I was introduced to Christina's beautiful creations from images of a friend's shower and wedding photos. I caught my breath every time I saw a cake by christina than and still do to this very day. The Cocoa Cakery creates a lasting moment in time! Our wedding cake was the focal point to our head table!! Christina's imagination knew exactly how to bring to life our golden/blush sweet spring romance theme and to indulge the senses in the flavour/taste of each PIECE !! with a spectrum of deep chocolate, rich vanilla and surprising mocha! My wedding cake exceeded my expectation and brought a huge smile to face on a very busy day. I can not wait for The Cocoa Cakery to make a cake for our next celebration!!!
