West Rouge resident for over 25 years, Vanessa has taken her passion for baking to the streets of Port Union to share her gourmet cupcakes and custom cakes with her neighbors. Starting the business out of her home, this entrepreneur has moved her business to a store front within just years of bringing the Simply Frosted Cupcakery brand to life. Vanessa comes from a large family, with that her sister and business partner Enza brings over 16 years’ experience in the Design industry, which enables this duo to add a personal and trendy touch to each and every baked good that leaves their shop. Between the two of them they took a vacant space tucked in the corner unit of a well-known plaza in Scarborough’s East end and designed every nook and cranny to not only make but create an overall vintage experience similar to what one would find while strolling down the streets of Manhattan or visiting the local bakery in Paris.
