From background ambiance to high-energy partying, the Nova Sounds Band has been chosen 15 times by TORONTO LIFE as "The Best of the City" in live music curation! We provide soloists, duos, trios, quartets plus our 5 to 9-piece group, performing an ever-growing playlist of over 2000 songs that include Top 40, R&B, rock, dance/disco, Motown, country, jazz, classical, Latin, Italian, Hebrew/Jewish, Greek, and more!

We're proud of the Juno and Grammy-winning vocalists and musicians, both past & present, in our band! At the helm is our Creative Director Dr. Alan Shiner, who has worked onstage and in the studio as a keyboardist, producer, and composer with legendary artists like Mariah Carey, Drake, Ne-Yo, Martin Short, Baby Face and The Pointer Sisters in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, London and Miami. He has also penned several iconic jingles like "967-11-11" (Pizza Pizza), "Everyone Loves Marineland," "African Lion Safari," "Sleep Country Canada," "Sunwing.CA," and "Swiss Chalet."

Nova Sounds Entertainment services also include TruVibe DJs + MC'ing and customized sound & lighting production.

Outstanding Entertainment Services for Every Occasion!

I have had the pleasure of working with Collage Entertainment/Nova Sounds Entertainment for the past five years, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! We had the opportunity of using the musical talents of the Nova Sounds Band for two family functions. Although the venues were quite different in terms of size, Alan Shiner provided us with a variety of approaches that could adapt to our unique requirements. We were also given the option to select specific songs and genres for various parts of the evening, starting with the cocktail music, which we didn’t want to overpower the conversations of our guests. Everything went smoothly and according to plan. Our family and guests were very impressed with the quality of music which the Nova Sounds Band provided at both venues. Working with Alan Shiner and his team was a pleasure as they fully understood our needs for an intimate function within a set budget and a larger event that had more leeway. We were kept informed of all aspects throughout each planning process via regular phone calls and emails. Without any reservation, we would highly recommend the musical talents of Nova Sounds Band for your family or corporate venue.

Alan and his Nova Sounds band helped make High Notes Avante's 10th anniversary celebration extra special. He co-wrote a mental health anthem (We All Have A Story) which he and the band premiered at the High Notes Gala . They also took care of the recording of the demo which is now available on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube. All the musicians and singers were WORLD CLASS. We had a full band on stage and a select few who added to the ambience at the VIP reception. I highly recommend Nova Sounds for any occasion--and those who have used them thanked me.

At our recent family celebration, the Nova Sounds Band and TruVibe DJ provided the entertainment. They did an amazing job! Not only did they curate a unique and interactive dance party for our guests, but they also accommodated our every request for meetings in advance to plan the playlist and the events schedule. Even though the Nova Sounds Band have an extensive repertoire, they were willing to learn songs that were important to us. When their singers and musicians performed, they sounded just like the original artists! I highly recommend Nova Sounds Entertainment for your next event.
