Where can I hold my ceremony?

Your ceremony can take place at a private residence, banquet hall, restaurant, golf club, convention centre, or anywhere else that is special to you… as long as it is located in the province of Ontario

Can we have a friend officiate our ceremony?

Definitely! There are two ways to accommodate this request. I can perform all of the legalities in my office, negating the need for me to be in attendance at your ceremony. OR… I would be in attendance at your ceremony, ensuring that all legal requirements are met, and to legalize the marriage. I am also available to help prepare or review the ceremony if required

How do I book my ceremony with you?

Here are the steps: Confirm my availability for the date, time, and location of your ceremony. Select a wedding package. Send your $200 deposit via e-transfer. Sign and return your Wedding Agreement

Is it my responsibility to get the Marriage Licence?

Yes, it is the couple’s responsibility to obtain a valid Ontario Marriage Licence and provide the marriage licence to me in advance of the ceremony. Please be aware that failure to have a valid marriage licence at the time of the ceremony means the marriage will not be legal... we can still go ahead with the ceremony, but we will have to do the legalities at a later time

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of having Maureen marry us this past weekend. We are incredibly happy to have had her with us that day. Before the wedding, we had a meeting to get know each other and several chances to get to know her and have her get to know us as a couple and our story. She provided a lot of support while we were creating our own vows. She gave us full transparency for the ceremony and even provided us with really lovely suggestions (such as having our mothers holding onto the rings during the ceremony, which allowed us a solution to involving both mothers and fathers during the ceremony itself).

During the wedding, Maureen was lighthearted, natural and genuine, making everyone - guests, staff and us - comfortable and helped us have a really good time. She has just a soothing voice! But she also provided amazing support that helped keep us calm during the event.

Maureen is such a delight, and helped make this ceremony very personal to us. We wholeheartedly recommend as an officiant for weddings, and we are incredibly grateful that we got to work with her for ours.

Maureen was great she created a beautiful ceremony for us and I also created some things I wanted said do I combined what she wrote and what I wrote together to create a special ceremony including a joke she wrote for us. If you’re looking for a 5+ star officiant, look no further! If we could give a 10 star rating here, we would. Maureen was excellent from start to finish. She provided us with so much information before and after the wedding (vow examples, marriage license, certificate application), and was always prompt to reply to messages. She’s so professional and kind and has such a lovely personality. We couldn’t imagine anyone else marrying us.
You’ll have nothing to worry about if you choose Maureen to marry you!
