Named after the Heintzman family of the Heintzman Piano Company of Toronto, the estate has been meticulously restored and maintained to ensure every occasion is memorable.
We held our wedding reception at Heintzman House in July 2014 and couldn't have been more happy with our venue choice. The charm and beauty of this venue is amazing. What also appealed to us about the Heintzman House was the fact that there was a large bridal suite with private bathroom and several sitting rooms that the guests could roam in and explore before or during the reception. Furthermore, the house had beautifully manicured grounds with lots of greenery and colourful flower beds so guest could enjoy getting some fresh air during the reception. Almost every other guest we spoke to made a comment about how great and unique this venue was so we knew people loved it. It was stunning for photos too...I wish we actually allotted more time for photos at the venue. We also really enjoyed dealing with Christine who runs the place. She was always extremely nice and very accommodating in letting us come over to try out decorations or drop of supplies. All in all, picking this reception venue was one of our best wedding planning decisions. Read more

The house has history and character and it offered us the warm setting we were looking. We had the most incredible day at the Heintzman House for our wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful - it is grand without being overwhelming, cozy and inviting and yet had that stately feel we wanted. There is enough space for guests to explore and find their own place to enjoy the event. If the dance floor and music in the reception room isn't for them, the lovely drawing room with comfortable, regal furnishings and fireplace is a great place to relax. We loved the balcony, the solarium, the bridal and groomsmen suites (full of light, great for getting ready!) and of course, the grounds themselves. Getting married in the fall meant we could enjoy the tree colours and it's a photographer's dream. We had guests attend from Canada, the UK and New Zealand and we received highly positive comments about the venue. Everyone had a magical day, not just the bride and groom. Added to the venue, which if that isn't enough, is the amazing service we received from the venue manager, Christine Beck. She is straight forward, honest, clear, caring and utterly professional. Her advice is solid and trusted; she genuinely cares about helping the bride and groom save money, recommending excellent and reasonably priced vendors. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or service and we would heartily recommend the beautiful Heintzman House for weddings, and events and celebrations in general. Read more

We had our wedding at the Heintzman House in October of 2012. I cannot say enough good things about the venue. It is a beautiful, old Victorian mansion with so much charm and character. The grounds are immaculately groomed and so our pictures were amazing. The house is clean and neat, not stuffy at all. The upholstery and carpets are plush and luxurious and the art on the walls is representative of the time in which the house was built. You really feel like royalty! It's so gorgeous that we chose not to do any decorating aside from centerpieces! We let the beauty of this old mansion speak for itself, and got so many positive comments from guests on our choice of venue. I would be amiss not to mention Christine, the facilities coordinator at the HH. From the day we came for a tour until the day after our wedding when we came to pick up a few leftover things (oopsie) she was nothing but attentive and accommodating. She was patient while we got our forms, permits and money together, and she was able to recommend local vendors. On a personal level, planning a same-sex wedding can be trying at times - we had terrible experiences speaking to other venues and vendors, but Christine did not even flinch and welcomed us with open arms. The same went for the vendors she recommended that we dealt with. At the Heintzman House we were treated the same as every other couple and in the end we both had the wedding we always dreamed of. Thanks Christine and Heintzman House! Read more
We just wrapped up a beautiful reception at this venue. Great for receptions of 100 people or less! They were very accomodating and helped us design the best flow for that space.
They have a beautiful piano onsite that can be used as well as TONS Of parking. Our caterers loved the kitchen they had onsite. The BEST feature however, was the amazing bridal suite(s) upstairs. STUNNING for pictures and also making you feel like royalty on your big day.
Heintzman House is a wonderful venue for couples looking for a tucked away manor with an old soul. The property is a not-for-profit establishment which is why it's a diamond in the rough! For couples who live in the outskirts of the GTA (Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket), Heintzman is a sure thing. Because it's not downtown, you aren't going to pay downtown fees and rates - and you can spend your day getting ready on-site in their gorgeous bridal suite. The grounds are wonderful for photos (namely the balcony, the front lawn, the staircase, and the lounge). It can be done beautifully if you can stretch your décor budget to bring in some vintage furniture and upscale dining chairs for your reception. If you can funnel some of what you would have paid being downtown on the "pretty" details, than you can bet it will be money well spent! Heintzman House has huge potential and comes at a very attractive sticker price (did we mention they have a PARKING lot in the back??). Make sure you consider this venue in your search for the perfect event space. Read more
