Yasmin and Omar’s vibrant wedding is one you don’t want to miss! Their wedding planner, Weddings with Nia, incorporated their Ethiopian culture along with a dreamy, pink and gold colour scheme, creating a magical wedding at Chateau Le Jardin Event Venue. Their nuptials were a fantastic multi-day wedding celebration: starting off with a traditional Harari Ethiopian event with about 150 guests which involved lots of dancing, then a smaller more intimate celebration the next day. The beautiful bride looked amazing in a fabulous gown from Bliss Bridal Boutique and gorgeous Hair by Hanani and make-up from Eminent Allure. Every moment, from their photo session to the dance floor festivities, was creatively captured by Karimah Gheddai Photography.

Their traditional Harari Ceremony was a vibrant celebration complete with lush florals from Zuhoor Designs and lovely music from Ethiopian wedding singer, Atham Addus, and included just the immediate family members who performed a traditional hair tying event that is part of the Harari Ethiopian Culture..

The couple’s romantic reception at Chateau Le Jardin Event Venue was filled gold, green and white hues. Metallic accents, including everything from tableware to the furniture, as well as the sleek stationary and seating arrangements from GTA Floor Wraps, added a glam vibe to the festivities. Guests were welcomed serenaded by saxophonist Jay Smooth as they walked in. The evening was full of great vibes and dancing, and a delicious cake from Fruitilicious Cakes. The couple flew in an Ethiopian singer from the States and an Ethiopian Canadian Dj from Calgary for the event! Everyone was on their feet having a great time the whole evening when they weren’t taking fun photos in the photo booth from Snaps & Co..
