Stephanie and Raymond met on Tinder and after having had a few great conversations decided to meet in person. As luck would have it, sparks flew when they finally met and they have been together ever since. They both share an affinity for the 20th Century novelist, Ernest Hemingway, so when it came time to plan wedding, it was Hemingway who inspired the theme – British decor with hints of tropical flair! The tropical accents are also a nod to the Raymond’s house in Key West. To fit the classy and relaxed vibe, the couple chose to have the wedding at Toronto Hunt Club. Olive Studio captures all of the day’s special moments.
The couple’s first shoot was on the club’s rich green grounds. The bride wore a sweetheart gown with a long train that looked très elegant.
The couple set up fun games for the guests to play during the cocktail hour. After some fun, guests moved inside the clubhouse for an intimate ceremony.
Spinning great tunes, DJ Misty set a fun atmosphere for the reception. The room was dressed all in white, except for the subtle grey foliage pattern on the backs of the chairs. Bright florals and bronze accents popped against the ivory linens. The couple put a lot of love into creating the centerpieces and worked on many of the small details themselves. Stephanie and Raymond handmade the wood signs and the bronze animals used as table number holders. They also sourced all of the vases and the books were given to them by a friend. Next, Coquette Studio Floral Design decorated the tables with diverse, vibrant flowers and big green leaves. Absolutely everything fit the tropical theme, even the cake! Cake Mom Toronto made a rich cake decorated with sugar flowers and flamingos. It was also passion fruit flavoured – the bride’s favourite! Stephanie and Raymond had a beautiful wedding day celebrating with their loved ones.
