Trust the vision was the one thing Julia kept repeating to Elgin as they were planning their wedding. Blending whimsy and elegance, Julia’s vision for their big day at Airship 37 included lots of pastels, wild flower arrangements, floral patterns, the most colourful dessert table ever, and a first dance surrounded by sparklers. Plus, an epic lion dance. Amazing much? We think so too. Brilliantly snapped by Alixandra Gould Photography, this is one wedding you’re sure to love.
With Toronto’s gorgeous Distillery District providing the perfect backdrop, the couple’s photo session was the epitome of city chic and romance.
String lights, dainty florals and rustic chairs blended urban glam with rustic elements at the couple’s intimate ceremony.
The newlyweds’ reception is an elegant yet laid-back affair that blended darling DIY details with cozy elements, creating a rustically beautiful vibe. Julia created the most intricate and beautiful paper flower wall herself, and ensured that touches of herself and Elgin were featured throughout the night including in their wedding favours, which featured two gummy fishes kissing in a sea of blue candy – a reference to how the couple met on Plenty of Fish. Lux Bloom Events provided the delicate, pretty florals and the night was capped off on a sweet note with a gorgeous cake from Bobbette & Belle.
