Alderlea, a stunning historic manor house owned, operated, and set in the heart of downtown Brampton, opened its doors for the first time for an invite-only glimpse into it’s wedding hospitality offering. The 19th century Italianate mansion has been restored and adapted for use as a wedding and social event space, with several new touches that blend historical architecture and modern elegance. Moments Captured were onsite to capture the details.
Everyone who knows me is aware that I am all about the treats, and Alderlea did not disappoint. From the moment I entered, I was bombarded with excellent food options. Feast Your Eyes designed the space with a modern and elegantly icy approach, with crystals all around and pretty floral arrangements from Bellamy Flowers. They offered up a mashed potato station (my fave was the short rib option) and a made-to-order chef-attended pasta station. TK’s Catering crafted upscale small bites, like mini twice baked potatoes, the tastiest and most tender tandoori bites and an array of gourmet cheeses on crostini. Aura by Cashew and Clive put together a lovely sweet table, with treats for everyone! I loved the pumpkin spice mousse topped with chocolate and fruit compote, the lemonade and the white chocolate topped rice krispie treats!
A challenge that I have seen on the West-end is the lack of intimate venues catering to couples seeking a vintage style wedding. Alderlea checks many boxes, with a beautiful space and grounds, amazing food options, and many modern touches. The space can be customized in many ways, and the photo opportunities are endless. Couples have the option of using the entire upper residence level as a bridal suite, with bright sun-filled rooms perfect for portraits. I would encourage any couple to check out this versatile space for an upcoming wedding or pre-wedding event! A huge thank you to Alderlea and all of the vendors for inviting us in for this lovely, intimate event. We can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
