After meeting at work and dating for several years, Lauren said an emphatic “Yes!” to Sacha’s proposal while on a trip to Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia.
“The couple had a a clear vision of their wedding day from the start – a day surrounded by friends and family having lots of laughs and sharing stories over great food and wine,” shares the photographer. “They knew they wanted an organic element to the day and were extremely keen to have both an outdoor and indoor location — which is not so easily found in downtown Toronto.”
The couple smartly decided to enlist the help of the brilliant minds at Bisous Events to help make their wedding dreams a reality and found the perfect location to host their big day in the Glass Pavilion at Casa Loma. Stunningly shot by Mango Studios, this is one celebration you won’t want to miss!
The couple’s fairy tale-like ceremony is accentuated by the venue’s stunning stained glass windows, bright natural light, and gorgeous greenery.
When asked what one of the most memorable moments of the day was, the team at Mango Studios and Bisous Events recall: “The couple’s happy faces when they saw each other for the first time during the ceremony! The bride kept her Kleinfeld gown a secret from soon-to-be husband (as many brides do) but the groom also kept his custom suit a surprise for his bride. Paired with amazing music and their happy tears, we couldn’t help but tear up ourselves!”
The couple’s romantic photo session is inspired by Casa Loma‘s lush greens, creating an urban oasis vibe to their shoot.
An elegant affair infused with a modern garden party, the newlyweds’ reception was an affair to remember. Pretty pastel blooms from Coriander Girl juxtaposed with a neutral palette made for a sleek look while a mix of contemporary and antique furniture from Luxe Rentals added to the sophisticated style of the evening.
“Lauren wanted a very romantic, vintage-inspired design that included lots of fresh flowers but still wanted to keep it feeling intimate,” shares the planner. “Their long head table wasn’t on the stage but instead, they sat amongst all their family and friends while the fresh flower arbor framed them.”
Charming vintage details from Southern Charm Vintage Rentals gave the celebration a rustically romantic and old-world glam feel.
Chic linens from Around the Table and opulent tableware by Element Event Solutions gave the perfect touch to the winsome tablescapes.
Music from St. Royal Entertainment provided the perfect Motown playlist for the couple, while getting the guests to their feet, ending the night on a fun note.
