As an event planner, I’m always on the hunt for new and exciting venue openings! Needless to say, when I received the invitation to attend the Village Loft launch party – an event showcasing the newly renovated space to planners across the GTA – I immediately RSVP’d yes!
It’s no secret that north Toronto venues typically lack that chic, urban vibe offered by its downtown counterparts, so when I walked into this new, exclusive venue by O&B (located at Bayview Village Mall), I was immediately both surprised and impressed! O&B’s in-house photographer Pauline Yu captures all the amazing details.
The grand experience begins from the moment I step foot through the venue’s front doors. Greeted by beautiful, live music, I step further toward to a vast, modern space complete with exposed brick walls, complimenting wood beams, and unique chandeliers. These features all culminate to create a modern-chic, yet boho-glam vibe.
Another huge plus for the space has got to be their outdoor patio space overlooking the tree-lined, ritzy neighbourhood. Most venues outside the core don’t have a terrace feature available, and this patio is quite large – plus the heaters really make it cozy for those brisk fall evenings.
All of the food stations were set up as custom printed bars with vinyls provided by the team at DFD Event Solutions. From the raw seafood bar to the Porcini and Parm station, to a delicious meats and seafood BBQ on the terrace, the food was absolutely delectable and I kept going back for more! On top of the fun interactive food stations, there were a ton of delicious passed hors d’oeurves and an open bar which included Steam Whistle, Diageo and Cave Spring wines.
As if there wasn’t enough food, following the stations and passed apps, there was a very insta-worthy dessert display that had everyone snapping away! Attached to the beautiful hedge wall provided by Divine Furniture Rental, there were glass containers containing delectable desserts! On top of the fun photo/dessert wall there were passed pistachio cannolis, a dessert table filled with biscotti, cookies and just about everything else you could ever want from a sweet table display!
As the night went on, Sole Power‘s DJ continued to mix great top 40 hits while a live electric violinist played to his music. Just another ‘wow’ factor at this spectacular party.
All in all, the evening was a fantastic treat! Guests happily mingled away all while enjoying O&B’s renowned cuisine and hospitality. The team behind the launch event did a fantastic job! Without question, Village Loft is sure to become a new gem in Uptown Toronto.
