The good folks at Artscape continue to expand their impressive event space portfolio with their latest addition – Artscape Daniels Launchpad. With just over 6,200 square feet of versatile event space and unobstructed views of the city’s lakefront, it’s no wonder so many of the industry’s movers and shakers made their way down for this highly anticipated industry event. A big thanks to Jorjas Photography for capturing the evening.
Element Event Solutions created three varied table designs to showcase the various options for guests hosting events in the space. Whether you’re designing a modern, classic or trendy aesthetic, this venue offers exceptional versatility perfect for corporate events, weddings, socials, galas, meetings, and more.
Of course, what’s a launch event event without delicious food from some of Toronto’s premiere caterers!? We’re talking a cornucopia of exceptional catered cuisine!
Food Dudes covered both their vegetarian and meat-atarian bases offering up both a colourful chopped salad that was both refreshing yet substantial, along with some fantastic melt-in-your-mouth Steak Tartare bites.
Daniel et Daniel Catering & Events offered up hearty Beef Short Ribs, with caramelized onions, carrots, mushrooms and pearl onions, slow cooked in mustard and marrow broth served from under a smoky cloche for that “wow-factor” unique presentation. Our vegan friends enjoyed a Seitan “Meat” Loaf alternative.
Encore Catering brought their Ahi Tuna Poke Bowls: brown rice, maui sauce, avocado puree, pickled carrot, cucumber, scallion, cilantro, topped with black and white sesame seeds. Delicious.
The team at ProvisionsTO wowed guests a one-two punch of deliciousness: first, a soft and chewy, incredibly flavourful Red Beet Bao; and second, a small-yet-mighty roasted Kobacha Squash, with blue cheese and walnut. Both dishes were full of flavour and highly addictive. I must admit, I had more than my fair share.
Saucy Affairs served up panko-crusted deep fried Rice Cakes, served warm with wasabi guacamole topped with sushi-grade saku tuna, a touch of spicy mayo, pickled ginger, green onions and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. A second dish of homemade cornchips and fresh guac certainly couldn’t hurt!
Next up, we see the talented folks at Victor Dries Curated Events prepping a dish of squash purée, brown butter, sage, and toasted black walnuts.
The good folks at Urban Fare Catering brought some seriously flavour-packed mini Corn Cakes with Avocado Mash (left); while The Tempered Room (right) served up Country Terrine on house seeded cracker, Niagara vinegar Jelly, crispy sage.
10tation Event Catering treated guests to slow-cooked Thai Duck, preserved chili, salted cucumber, cashews, mint, crispy casava, wrapped in lettuce.
Paintbox Catering & Bistro brought a creative display featuring a Beet Chip topped with avocado mouse and grilled shrimp. Not only was the presentation beautiful, but the taste was ah-mazing.
Time for dessert! We begin with fresh mini baked donuts from Encore. Need I say more? If that weren’t enough, the event also featured D&D‘s served-warm Sticky Toffee Pudding with walnut chutney toffee sauce, and cinnamon ice cream; and The Tempered Room featured a variety of mini sweet treats featuring green apple & caramel choux, milk chocolate ganache, lemon curd, burnt meringue tart and dark chocolate éclair.
Live performances always enhance an event! There’s always something extra special about watching Toronto’s artists come together in a creative space to showcase their talents.
Without doubt, a memorable evening for all. A big shout out and thank you to the team at Artscape Daniels Launchpad and all the vendors involved for throwing such a fabulous industry party!
