We had been dying to get a sneak peak of the Kleinfeld Canada store so we were thrilled when we were invited to be part of the dress shopping experience with Lesley Kamiel, a bride-to-be.
For more than 60 years, Kleinfeld has been the go to destination for brides-to-be and no wonder! With its famous flagship store in Manhattan, Kleinfeld offers brides a one-of-a-kind experience: not only do brides get to choose from one of the largest selections of wedding gowns in America (including exquisite designer couture gowns offered exclusively through Kleinfeld), brides get to experience the world class Kleinfeld service where the most professional staff are dedicated to making every wish and dream of the bride-to-be come true.
Since being showcased on the incredibly popular TV series “Say Yes to the Dress”, many Canadian brides have visited the Kleinfeld store in Manhattan looking for that Kleinfeld signature experience. Luckily, Canadian brides no longer have to travel to south of the border to experience this for themselves!
Hudson’s Bay bought exclusive rights to the store in Canada and have opened the flagship Kleinfeld Canada store in Toronto earlier this year. The Toronto store boasts over 20,000 square feet of dreamy displays and offers something for everyone.
With over 55 designers to choose from and gowns ranging from $1,500 to $30,000, the Toronto store ensures that every bride will leave with her dream dress. Not to mention, the Toronto store proudly showcases its Canadian roots and carries lines from up and coming Canadian designers, as well as some of the most sought after and exclusive brands such as Pnina Tornai, Mark Zunino and Lazaro as well as some whose roots are in Canada, such as Rivini and Ines Di Santo.
Of course, no bride would be complete without her accessories and Kleinfeld Canada offers a full range of veils, jewelry, shawls, and high fashion bridal shoes.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Jason Price – The Bridal Concierge who showed us around the store in true first class fashion.
His advice for brides-to-be is to shop within 6-9 months of the desired wedding date but to keep in mind that modifications, alterations and custom work should be taken into account when determining timelines since most dresses are hand-made. Once we had a chance to walk around the store with Jason, Lesley’s consultant greeted us and off we went into the consultation.
The consultant’s first point of business was to find out what styles, designers, and wedding dream dresses were on Lesley’s wish list. We then spent the next hour and a half lounging on the couches in the beautiful and airy “twirling room” while watching Lesley model prospective dresses. We won’t tell you what dress Lesley ended up choosing but needless to say, the whole experience was nothing short of exquisite.
Co owner of Kleinfeld New York Ronnie Rothstein has always said “Come to Kleinfeld for the experience – the dress is just the souvenir.”
