The extreme weather alert, freezing rain, and high winds couldn’t stop engaged couples from attending this year’s Vantage Venues wedding open house! Located in the heart of downtown Toronto on the 27th story floor of its King West locale, the venue boasts stunning views of the city’s skyline waterfront. The recently renovated space with its floor-to-ceiling windows did not disappoint as the view is simply breathtaking and is certain to leave your guests in awe. 135mm Photography and SDE Weddings capture all the charming details of this event!
Stepping into into the cocktail lounge and bar area, I am immediately mesmerized by the stunning floral hung above the windows! This was a definite show stopper as guests enjoyed snapping photos under this magical and whimsical scene embellished entirely with peach bloom roses, wisteria and greenery – designed by To The Moon & Back Wedding & Event Design and produced by La Belle Fleur Floral & Design.
In the main dining hall, To the Moon and Back Event Designs showcases four different tablescape styles, each with their own unique Instagram-worthy stunning details. With the help of La Belle Fleur Floral Design & Decor and Event Rental Group, these tablescapes really came to life.
The first tablescape is inspired by the 2019 Pantone Colour of the Year, Living Coral. I fell in love with the beautiful crystal candelabra adorned with an over-sized floral arrangement featuring assorted roses such as Juliet garden roses, peach Tiffany, coral Amsterdam and quicksand roses – just to name a few. A current popular trend is combining large-scale arrangements with smaller florals in vessels, and this was none the more evident amongst all the different tablescapes presented.
The next table setting is a cute little sweetheart table for the bride and groom. How romantic would it be to sit under this cherry blossom tree? It almost feels like you’re having an elegant spring picnic outdoors in High Park!
My personal favourite is the palm-tree centerpiece with a black and gold tablescape – the hanging orchids with the use of assorted leaves including monster, banana, tepee and Areca Palm leaves really added a unique twist to the look. The layering of black and gold in the place settings along with the gold geometric lanterns give this tablescape a more modern and rich vibe. I loved the use of the clear Isabella chairs to give it a clean and sophisticated look.
The last table setting opts for a more classic and nautical look with the use of asymmetrical layers – a trio set of Moroccan lanterns and various miniature floral arrangements in white majolica spray roses, anemone, and blue thistle (to match the tablecloth) adorned this table. While the ornate gold flatware, gold rimmed glasses and classic chiavari chairs provided that classic elegance, the royal blue linen really made the table pop!
Let’s head on over to the ceremony room that featured a stunning ceremony for the modern bride. The room is kept simple with pillar candles lining the aisle giving more attention to the beautiful round floral arch.
Throughout the evening, guests sampled on sophisticated culinary delights made with love by the talented in-house catering team. From passed canapés to several food stations, guests enjoyed a sampling of their popular wedding menu items such as Chorizo and Corn Chowder, Watercress Salad with pickled and fermented vegetables, roasted stuffed brown top Mushrooms and incredibly tender Sous Vide Chicken Roulade. For dessert, a variety of tarts and cakes were provided by the amazingly talented Amanda Foong Cakes. I still can’t get over the detailing in the hand-made sugar flowers on each cake as it looked absolutely flawless!
Guests had the opportunity to chat and learn from a few wedding professionals like A Good Day, Inc. and Taurus Productions & Entertainment. There was even mini makeup sessions for a chance to glam up by beauty experts from The Beauty Team.
Rounding out the evening, guests had the opportunity to enjoy a fun photo booth and take home printed photos along with a gold-rimmed, white gift bag filled with goodies!
A big thank you to all the vendors who braved the weather and made it such an amazing event! And thank you to Vantage Venues for inviting us to experience this world-class meeting and event space. It truly is one-of-a-kind.
