As someone who devotes almost every waking minute to weddings and events, nothing is more thrilling than an amazing new character-filled space. This past week, The Symes delighted and entertained their lucky guests for their official grand opening event. It was an evening of great music, delicious bites and exciting vibes. This architecturally impressive venue boasts 9,700 square feet of event space complete with sky high ceilings and plenty of natural light. With an inherent and alluring industrial vibe, the space offers complete versatility, affording Clients the opportunity to completely make it their own. It’s the ideal canvas to plan a personalized event with just the right amount of WOW-factor! Thankfully, Pimentel Photography was onsite to capture every detail and moment from this grand affair!
With furniture provided by Contemporary Furniture Rentals, guests were treated to a number of cozy (yet refined) lounging areas, perfectly complimenting the space’s art deco yet modern appeal. Sleek and chic flowers from Stemz in copper, marsala, and rust tones brought out the warmth of the exposed brick features.
With a talented roster of preferred caterers from which to select, the evening also showcased some of Toronto’s top caterers including Toben Food by Design, 10tation Event Catering, Food Dudes, Daniel et Daniel Catering & Events, Drake Catering, PR Creative Caterers, and Victor Dries Curated Events. Guests certainly were not left hungry with scrumptious delights at every turn! The sliders from Food Dudes were a particular hit among my crew. Being a huge Poke bowl lover myself, I was so delighted to try PR Creative’s take on this delicious dish and it did not disappoint!
Holy Cannoli indeed! No one does desserts better then Le Dolci. After enjoying an array of savoury delights, the evening was topped off with some sweet goodness at the Cannoli station which included one ginormous mouth watering Cannoli. Lovers of the brew were kept caffeinated and content with coffee by The Brewing Bean.
Every successful event needs good tunes and the folks at Sole Power kept guests entertain all evening long, among both floors of this versatile space. The excitement for this venue was exemplified by the jam packed attendance not to mention a cacophony of “oohs and aahs” as guests filtered in. It was clear that many folks were thrilled to experience this new gem in Toronto. This was truly a memorable opening with what will surely be the beginning of something spectacular for the Toronto event scene.
Our good friends at Images Life Media put together a fabulous video recap of the event with host Michael from Evolved Entertainment.
