Kate and Kyle held a beautiful wedding in the small Ontario town of Elora. Sitting next to boutiques and coffee shops, Elora Mill Hotel & Spa is a newly renovated venue in the center of town. With its charming and modern style, Elora Mill is perfect for a wedding of elegant simplicity. Samantha Ong was on site to photograph the couple’s lovely day.
From the Bride: Getting ready with my bridesmaids was one of my top favourite moments. I felt like a very lucky bride to have such an amazing group of ladies – we started the morning at 8 am with mimosas!
Kate looked gorgeous in her lace gown, accented by a bouquet of white, lavender, fuschia, and aubergine.
Kate and Kyle had a lovely photo session in the mill’s neighbouring ravine. The rustic nature complemented their formal wear beautifully.
From the Groom: Going in to the Elora Gorge for our photos was a highlight for me. It was really nice to get away from the commotion and just be with Kate and take in those moments.
All eyes were on Kate as she walked down the aisle behind the mill’s ruins, overlooking the Grand River.
From the Bride: We wrote our own vows and had a family friend of Kyle’s lead the ceremony. It made it very personal & special to have someone we knew so well up there with us.
Inside, the reception hall shone with delicate gold chandeliers and large silver mirrors. The grey wood of the ceiling and the light oak dance floor balanced out the dazzle. Jodi Leigh Designs combined lavender, blush and white florals with loose greenery to decorate the snow white tablecloths. Following a great meal, the newlyweds cut a 4-tiered cake with matching florals created by Wellington Cakes. Everyone looked to the dance floor as Kyle took Kate in his arms for their first dance. The couple spent the rest of the evening dancing to Impact DJ‘s cool beats surrounded by their loved ones.
From the Bride: Our DJ had the dance floor packed solid for 3 hours straight! Our first dance was to “Marry Me” by Train. The last song of the night was “Will You be There” by Michael Jackson (from Free Willy!). Nobody wanted the night to be over 🙂
Kate and Kyle were overjoyed that everyone dear to them was present for their special day.
