Stella and Adam’s astronomical wedding day was definitely written in the stars: filled with deep blues and violets, dazzling geometrics, and, of course, the cosmos, this celebration was truly out of this world. Planned perfectly by the creative minds at Aly & Co., and set at the urban chic Steam Whistle Brewery, the talented lens of Oak & Myrrh was on hand to snap each fun moment.
The couple’s adorable first look and stylish photo session was highlighted by gorgeous green spaces, and fascinating orb-like statues that streamlined with their intergalactic theme.
The couple’s romantic ceremony featured a beautiful “blooming” archway, and tons of moody lighting that gave off an otherworldly vibe.
The couple’s reception was colourful, with elegant modern elements, which included sleek black tablescapes and bright blooms from Pink Twig Floral Boutique, as well as dark-hued chairs, which emanated an ethereal and enchanting vibe. In keeping with their stellar theme, the couple’s seating chart included matching guests with zodiac signs. Guests feasted on delicious fare from Food Dudes, and later danced the starry night away.
From the Bride: Our vision for our big day was just that we wanted to have as many of our favorite things and people at the same time all together in one room. We wanted a unique wedding and to try things that we thought ourselves and our family would enjoy. To top it all off, we wanted to incorporate one of our favorite things, our love of astronomy, as our theme.
From the Bride: We loved seeing how everything came together on the day of. Adam really enjoyed the sparkler dance – it was so unexpected and very well organized. I was a huge fan of the s’mores station – roasting your own marshmallows was a nice bonus. We took dancing lessons and chose a more classic and timeless song for our first dance – ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ by Whitney Houston. We managed to pull off our whole routine with no major mishaps. Everyone was both thrilled and surprised. It almost didn’t happen but our wedding coordinator convinced us we’d regret NOT doing the dance – she was right.
