This sweet couple met through the bride’s best friend, who just happened to work in retail store with the groom at the time.
From the Bride: My best friend and Anthony used to work at a retail store together. I used to come in from time to time to visit her and he would see me around. He took an interest and hoped that he could talk to me one day. I finally ended up hanging out with a few of them from the store one day, and we clicked right away. Ever since then we’ve been going strong!
Knowing that Diana always wanted to get engaged in another country, Anthony planned the perfect proposal during a trip they took to Venice, Italy. On their first night there, he got down on one knee during a romantic evening gondola ride through the Grand Canal. To top it off, he had the whole thing filmed!
With a neutral colour palette and lots of natural touches, their big day at Caledon’s Caledon Valley Estate is a rustically romantic wonderland! Beautifully planned by Luca Medeiros Events, and gorgeously captured by Olive Photography, you’ll definitely be inspired by this one!
Diana and Anthony took a stroll on the grounds of the venue for a sweet photo session.
Their lovely reception featured natural colours with some greenery and golden accents. The white interior of the barn and crisp linens contrasted with the hardwood floors and golden oak chairs creating the most romantic vibe. Hanging chandeliers and string lights wrapped around wood posts gave the rustic barn a dazzling effect. Diana made all the centerpieces and bouquets herself with flowers from Flowers Direct. A delectable cake decorated with verdure created by Doreen Sue Cakes sat neatly on a tree stump cake stand, capping the night off on a sweet note.
The couple and their guests had a wonderful day celebrating together – exactly what Diana and Anthony wanted!
