Jovana and Gray are a sophisticated, modern couple who wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities. After some debate, they decided to celebrate their union at the start of a new year with their nearest and dearest and chose to host their special day at The Burroughes, a turn of the century venue situated in trendy Queen West. This wedding featured a plethora of chic details: from the wild florals to the gold tableware to the black and gold menus, everything tied together beautifully. Of course, the bride herself was beautiful – Jovana wore a stunning gown with a lace bodice, flared sleeves and a skirt with a short front and a long tail. Lindsie Grey captures great photos of the big day!
Gray walked down a hallway with creaky hardwood floors to meet Jovana for the first look. Needless to say, she looked ravishing! The happy couple then moved outside for a romantic photo session in the snowy courtyard.
From the Photographer: This couple’s first look is one of my favourites! These two were at another wedding I had shot and we just clicked so I was excited to capture this private moment. Their first look set the tone for the whole day.
The intimate ceremony was held in a room decked out in black and white.
Stôk Floral & Design Inc. arranged charming pastel flower bouquets for the ceremony and designed winter greenery table runners for the reception. The space was swiftly reset with rentals from Element Event Solutions. DJ Evolved Entertainment played fun beats while guests returned to the room for a classy reception. The menu offered a selection of wine and bubbles and a variety of gourmet snacks all night long.
Food Dudes catered the bites and the bride’s family graciously baked cakes and sweets. The night was filled with deliciousness and celebration. Jovana and Gray’s wedding was a fabulous start to the new year!
