After a multi-year hiatus, it feels great to have live industry events officially back in all of their swanky downtown grandeur! Celebrating the grand opening of the newly-relocated Toronto Region Board of Trade - Adelaide, hundreds of guests and VIPs were invited down to view this stunning new addition to the Toronto waterfront venue scene.
As someone very familiar with TBOT’s previous location, this new iteration felt immediately impressive as guests entered via its modern foyer with striking high-ceilings and stylish modern design. After a quick elevator ride to the third floor, we make our way to the large gala space that can accommodate an impressive 400 guests. By the time I arrived, the room was already buzzing with hundreds of fashionable attendees enjoying themselves. Breaking the ice in sophisticated fashion, my group and I then began to explore everything the newly-appointed space had to offer.
If there’s one thing that O&B Event Venues are famous for, it is their unparalleled in-house cuisine, which was on full display this evening. Guests were invited to help themselves to a host of incredible food stations, served up to perfection by their warm and charming culinary team. So many delicious offerings included Roast Chicken & Guacamole Saltimboca, succulent Pan-Fried Dumplings, a generously appointed oyster bar, and an exotic array of plentiful, delectable appetizers being passed. Of course, these were just some of the highlights from the full menu of choices for all to enjoy.
Our group grabbed cocktails from the whimsical “Cheekie” bar to enjoy as we hobnobbed comfortably while seated around modern tables provided by Divine Furniture Rental. It wasn’t long before the sounds of the party drew us back into the main room where we were treated to a memorable and exciting performance by Toronto Orchestra performing as a 10-Piece Band with the help of the incredible AV system supplied by Encore Canada. And after they finished their high-energy set, we were treated to a fantastic DJ set by the remarkable stylings of Michael Coombs Entertainment.
To cap off the evening, we then stepped outside onto the spacious outdoor patio, taking in the lights and energy of the downtown TO waterfront at night. When I signed up to cover the festivities, I knew I would be in for a treat, but the team at the O&B truly outdid themselves. This is sure to be one of the city’s finest and most popular new additions. A big thanks to Hector, O&B’s in-house photographer for capturing all the energy from the big night. Cheers!
