We are in awe of Rachel and Mike’s elegant wedding at the stunning The Arlington Estate! This beautiful couple met in their first year of university and have been together ever since. Mike popped the question while they were in Portugal in a secluded garden of a historic Gothic monastery. A year and a half of planning later, they finally said “I do” in a breathtaking celebration planned by Beyond the Limits Decor, and photographed by the talented Lindsie Grey Photography!
The estate’s lush greenery and pond were gorgeous backdrops for Rachel and Mike’s sweet photo session.
Reminiscent of an enchanted forest, the hanging white florals and lanterns brought the ‘wow’ factor to their stunning reception. This simple colour palette was the perfect complement to the metallic accents of the décor. White floral topiary trees and flowing fabric made a beautiful backdrop for Rachel and Mike’s sweetheart table. Cascading blush-and-white floral centerpieces and floating candles perfectly accessorized the mirrored tables. Tall, gold geometric stands with floral arrangements and floating glass orbs were the centerpieces for the long tables, while the round tables alternated between candelabras and tall floral centerpieces. A pop of orange from the favour boxes and menus added the finishing touch to the breathtaking table settings.
For dessert, the couple had a 7-tiered wedding pie, cakes from Guerdoo Cakes and a dessert table with even more sweet treats!
From the Bride: Instead of cutting into a wedding cake, we had a 7 tiered wedding pie. Mike’s mother is a phenomenal baker and Mike insisted on having pie instead of cake at our wedding. I love cake so I was hesitant at first, so we compromised and we had the wedding pie be the pie that we cut into, and have cake surrounding the pie – so we got to have the best of both worlds!
After dessert, DJ Haresh spun some tunes and along with their family and friends, Rachel and Mike danced the night away! A perfect start to this couple’s life together!
