For couples on the hunt for a an elegantly stylish and luxurious wedding venue, consider King West’s freshest new event space: Lavelle.
Elevated 16 stories from street level, Lavelle is intimate enough for 75-130 of your nearest and dearest, while expansive enough to make you feel like you have the key to the city! The venue operates as a supper club serving dinner during the week and brunch on the weekends. In order to make exclusive use of the space, a ‘buyout’ is required.
With it’s breathtaking 360? panoramic views, every angle of this venue is a picture perfect snapshot of Toronto’s beautiful skyline — as you will see from the breathtaking photos shot by none other than the acclaimed photographers at Mango Studios.
The main dining hall is surrounded by ecru banquettes which offer half-moon seating, ideal for conversation and easy access to a central dance floor.
Now let’s talk decor! The Duchesse of Design herself, Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design, was on hand in a billowy black blouse and sky-high pumps greeting eager brides who typically crush on her Instagram snaps. A table display by Luxe Rentals in white plexi and silver rim coupled with crystal clear Louis XIV Ghost Chairs were the canvas for Rachel’s ‘Ode to Spring’: white tulips and soft fat blush rose floral landscapes in mirrored vases lined the centre of the table while an oversized bouquet of white and pink almond blossoms anchored the overall vision.
On every place setting was an elegant, yet modern, menu executed by the fine stationers at Palettera Custom Correspondences which echoed the floral motif of the rose walls and the rose covered dance floor by Event Graffiti.
Opposite the venue’s entrance, guests encounter the gorgeous rooftop lap pool, reminiscent of something out of a 1930’s Hollywood film. Even in the February haze, I could imagine guests enjoying a signature cocktail around the effortlessly beautiful aqua blue waters. With such a gorgeous rooftop patio, I couldn’t help but feel wistful for the summer months and all the note-worthy parties I could see hosting and planning here — and with Wiarton Willie not seeing his shadow, that wish will come sooner than we think!
Across from the pool is the central bar adorned in brass and stocked to the hilt. I immediately conjured up visions of a crimson Manhattan or a stormy Sidecar in my hand. The Prosecco handed to me by the spritely staff was a fine option too!
As I continued my tour throughout the space, I was greeted by the lovely Sarah Baptiste, owner of OystersXO. Her impressive team of mobile oyster shuckers are certain to light up any party. Our good friend Michael Coombs of Michael Coombs Entertainment kept the room filled with energy as guests perused the gorgeous event space!
A big thanks to our friends at Naturally Captured for putting together this amazing video capturing all of the gorgeous details of the day.
For a simply elegant, romantic, and totally urban experience, Lavelle is a great consideration. But check them out soon because my feeling is this place will be booked up in no time!
