If you haven’t had the pleasure of attending an event at Brunswick Bierworks yet, I’m here to tell you not to sleep on this creatively designed space. I had the pleasure of attending a recent industry event at Brunswick Bierworks and the detailing of this space is incredible. From weddings to corporate events and brand launches, this space is perfect for entertaining and ‘wow’ing guests with culinary delights, tours of the tap room and beautiful design elements. Chris Sticker Photography was on hand to capture all of the details as we toured the space and learned about the many offerings that this gorgeous venue features.
As an event planner, I love spaces that already have great accent furniture, natural light and imaginative elements to wow guests. Brunswick Bierworks delivers on all of these requirements, and even has ample parking! I loved the accent furniture around the venue, in particular the live-edge wooden table and chairs and the many lounge opportunities. Having a full open-concept layout means that it is very easy to create a different floor plan with every kind of event. This venue can easily convert from ceremony to cocktail event or even a formal dinner and dance – and the twinkle lights add such a touch of whimsy!
Preferred vendor Event Rental Group added beautiful details throughout the space, showcasing different combinations of seats and tables like benches, ghost chairs and traditional dining chairs, and tonnes of plating options. I loved the sumptuous floral designs by Lush Florals and Events that accented the tables, showing that a little (or a lot) can go a long way in this interesting space. Each table had a very different vibe – from rustic-glam to modern romantic. The smart use of repurposed bottles was eco-friendly and very chic!
Now, onto my favourite part – the food! Brunswick Bierworks allows for outside catering through preferred caterers No Small Feast, Daniel et Daniel Catering & Events, and PG Harvey. Each vendor excels at savoury and sweets, with stylish food stations and plating presentations. I made sure to sample everything twice to double check the authenticity and deliciousness of each dish. I’m pleased to report that every morsel was a delight!
D&D‘s Chilli Fry Spring Roll was flavourful and crisp and the presentation was beautiful.
PG Harvey presented mouth-watering sliders and one of the best (and prettiest) creme brulees I’ve had in a long time.
No Small Feast’s Truffle Fried Chicken made me very happy that I wore my stretchy pants, and I may have visited their station a few times throughout the evening. I’m confident that any of these fine caterers can create a custom menu to suit an event of any style and size at this venue.
A standout feature at Brunswick Bierworks has to be their bar, with over 20 different beers on tap – some old favourites that you’ve seen around Toronto, and others that will be a new treat. I’m not a big beer drinker myself, but the friendly and knowledgable bartenders found me the perfect brew to sip all evening, when I wasn’t enjoying a glass of Prosecco from Wine Lovers Imports. I love that each beer has a story and the staff know all about it – this was a lot of fun for guests, because everyone loves to learn the history behind an interesting space. Later in the evening we took a tour of the brewing facilities – and we learned all about the brewing and bottling process. The drums in the back are so large that part of the ceiling had to be raised to accommodate them. The absolute transparency of the process was a nice touch and many of the guests left feeling impressed and a bit smarter about the whole adventure of beer production.
I may have said this already, but if you haven’t had a chance to attend an event at Brunswick Bierworks, definitely consider booking a tour and hosting your next function at this fun space. This is definitely one of the most versatile venues that our beautiful city has to offer, and your guests will absolutely love the natural charm. Their in-house vendors are some of the best in Toronto and their friendly team will help you design the perfect event. A huge thank you to the whole team at Brunswick Bierworks for hosting us, and I’m looking forward to the next event!
