Kim and Karlis tied the knot at Archeo restaurant, in the heart of Toronto’s historical Distillery District, after dating for almost a decade. When envisioning her big day, Kim had a clear vision: she wanted a bright, colourful and whimsical wedding! Luckily, the team at As You Wish Weddings (which happens to be led by one of the bride’s sisters!) were on hand to bring Kim’s vision to life, right down to the fine details, starting with Kim and her bridesmaids sharing laughs in bright floral robes in the morning, sipping on fresh mimosas. Thankfully for us, Simply Lace Photography was there from the very start to capture all the sweet moments.
The couple shared an adorable first look and photo session along the streets of Downtown Toronto.
Guests gathered in a charming courtyard enclosed by walls of varying brick where Weddings By Wayde performed the ceremony. The sun shone perfectly on the newlyweds as their family and friends rejoiced in celebration of their union.
The stunning reception was chock full of playful touches to add to the look of the stunning exposed brick and tall pine beams of Archeo’s interior. The harvest tables and wood cross back chairs complimented the cool, urban vibe. Long-stemmed blossoms designed by Cedar & Stone Floral Studio were suspended from rose gold wire fixtures, creating a playful twist on chandeliers. The tables featured colourful flowers in clear and amber glass bottles, accented with votives and candles in modern, gold-rimmed, glass containers. The menu was delicious and for dessert, guests enjoyed a rich cake made by Etobicoke’s renowned Sanremo Bakery. Ensuring everyone was having the time of their lives, Liquid Entertainment spun hot tunes well into the night.
