After having their first date at Ovest so many years ago, and ultimately falling in love, Cindy and Giacomo’s wedding at Ovest makes it even that much more special. The restaurant venue offered the rustic-yet-romantic look they love, and with the restaurant’s General Manager being a mentor of Giacomo’s in the hospitality industry since immigrating to Canada, it made sense to host their big day there. Planned with the help of the brilliant Beth Jacobs Weddings & Events, the couple’s wedding is a picture-perfect example of elegance and intimacy. The couple shared their first romantic look followed by a stunning photo session that perfectly captured their love.
From the Bride: We wanted our wedding to be intimate, simple and focused on appreciating the loved ones attending who played a huge role in shaping us into the people we’ve become. Leading up to the big day was such a blur: for some reason, we thought it was a good year to get married, change jobs, and also buy our first home. But through the help we had from friends & family as well as our stellar planner, the wedding of our dreams came true.
The couple added a side dish of personality to their intimate and elegant reception. Thanks to personal details like the couple’s wedding arch for the ceremony, which was built by the bride’s sister and her fiance, as well as the stunning centerpiece flowers (by CA Flowers) being arranged in some of the couple’s favourite spirits bottles. With cozy and chic touches, the couple’s reception is a beautiful mix of family and flair in a romantic setting.
From the Bride: This restaurant was where our relationship started, and thus, we felt it would be special to have it also be where we’d take our vows. It happened to have the perfect atmosphere: warm and rustic but also urban, a nod to the Toronto city girl marrying the boy from Bologna, Italy. It didn’t take too much to transform this beautiful venue – simple flowers arranged in some of our favourite spirits bottles (the perfect centerpiece for the scotch/whiskey lover marrying the bartender!) surrounded by candlelight to add the romance.
