Caslon and Nick met in grade 9 English class and the rest, well, the couple calls it “a long story.” The couple were getting ready to celebrate their 10-year anniversary with a trip to Spain and Nick proposed just before they headed to the airport. The next two weeks were filled with romance, tapas, and Damm Lemon. Their long-awaited wedding is reminiscent of their playful and romantic courtship. Planned by the brilliant minds at The Event Design Co., their big day at District 28 is a magical mix of rustic and contemporary chic. Captured by the lens of talented Olive Photography, you’ll want to Pin this gallery.
The couple shared a sweet first look before their stylish photo session that took them throughout the city.
The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony that was a beautiful mix of industrial chic vibes and minimalist design.
From the Bride: The ceremony – it was 13 years in the making and after so much time together we were just excited to express what and how much we mean to each other in front of all the people we love. After so much anticipation, it did not disappoint! It was truly one of the most beautiful moments of our lives – ugly crying and all!
The couple’s reception is a fresh take on a modern Greenhouse with romantic accents. The bride said, “we wanted an outdoor wedding but couldn’t stand the idea of getting rained out so we brought the outside in!” The couple chose a green palette with accents of dusty pastels and weaved in gold and copper details for a glamorous romantic feel. Along with rustic decor from A Lavish Affair and lush florals from Rikki Marcone Floral & Event Design, the results were stunning. To cap off the night, guests were treated to a gorgeous and delicious cake from Nat Bakes Cakes.
