This week The Albany Club opened its handsome doors to the public, inviting newly engaged couples to envision their special day inside this important and historic building.
Nestled in the heart of Old Toronto, guests enjoyed a sunset stroll across King Street East to be welcomed by the charming and well-dressed team at Albany upon arrival. They were invited to tour the four remarkable floors and awe-inspiring roof-top patio, brought to life by a brilliant team of Toronto wedding vendors. It was all captured by H2O Studio for us to explore together here. Let’s begin!
First impressions are everything and Albany unquestionably delivers with their Grand Dining Room just beyond their handsome entrance room.
The room was exquisitely decorated with a fresh and light springtime look by Designs by Dina, including an intricate backdrop with budding cherry blossoms and whimsical head table with quirky Alice-In-Wonderland glass bulbs adding an element of delightful awe.
The perfect compliment were a collection of expertly-decorated cakes courtesy of Patricia's Cake Creations, featuring a collection of royal gold and black with pink-icing florals that fit right in with the classic and intricate style of this warm room.
One thing that I love most about the Albany Club is how they spare no expense in delighting guests with their incredible cuisine! Upstairs in the Sir John A. MacDonald Room on the fourth floor, the party was brought to life not just by the incredibly lively and fun mix of music supplied by Evolved Entertainment, but by delicious food in every single direction.
The feature table of fantastic cured meats, cheese and creative hors d’oeuvres was just the beginning. Their incredibly cordial staff passed a plentiful array of appetizers on platters including Eggplant Sliders, Coconut Prawns and Beat & Waffle canapes. While most venues would stop there, the biggest delight was a feature table near the library in the back with a chef carving hot Roast Beef into sliders with an au jus stewed from the roast earlier that day.
A full dessert station with bite-sized portions of chocolates and pastries of all kinds was complimented by an open bar inviting us to pair it all with a wine of our choosing.
With access to their lavish rooftop patio with a stunning sunset reflecting between the buildings leading to a starry downtown sky, this truly was an adventure for the senses! For anyone looking for a classic and warm Toronto venue with a historic downtown feel, the Albany Club is such a brilliant choice. This was another party for the ages! Thank you to the team for a delightful open house!
