Alyssa and Michael tied the knot in their backyard and turned it into the brightest and chicest micro wedding ever. After overcoming years of a long-distance romantic relationship, there was no way that this couple was going to let the COVID-19 pandemic stop them from having a lovely wedding to celebrate. Instead, they invited their nearest and dearest for an intimate backyard celebration that was filled with love and their unique personal style. Fortunately the talented Samantha Ong Photography was there to snap each moment. You’re going to find so much micro wedding inspo from this gallery!
The couple shared an adorable first look before their stunning photo session that featured rainbow-coloured trees serving as the most beautiful backdrop.
From the Photographer: Alyssa and Michael had originally had their wedding date set for May 2020 but had to postpone the date due to lockdowns. They then moved the date to later in the year and decided to do a backyard wedding. A week before their rescheduled date in October, the government put forward even more restrictions! Luckily, they had already planned an intimate backyard celebration and everything turned out so good! That kind of determination makes doing micro wedding photography perfect for a hopeless romantic like me.
The intimate ceremony and reception were deeply personal for the couple. The emotional ceremony was officiated by Enduring Promises and featured a chic ceremony arch that was actually put together by Michael’s parents. The couple’s dog, Daisy, even trotted into the ceremony and patiently watched her parents get married. Later, the guests enjoyed a quiet celebration filled with lush florals from Flower Bell. Alyssa’s dad shared a lovely toast to this new family union before cutting into the cake baked by Michael’s mom. It was truly an affair to remember that was filled with a lot of heart and soul.
