The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada held its annual kick off event at The Forth this past Friday. Each year, the WPIC puts together a fantastic themed event for its network of wedding and event professionals as an energizing and motivating start to wedding season.
This year’s theme was #ClubWPIC – a 1940s-style speakeasy! The Forth provided the perfect backdrop with attendees enjoying live music, delicious fare, and prizes for best dressed! Thankfully, Take 1 Photography was on hand to capture all the stylish details!
Paper Decorum featured gorgeous paper goods designed to inspire any entrepreneur – in fact, we call these essentials!

Linen Closet provided luxe sequin and lace linens to compliment the vendor and guest tables. Paras Events and Exquisite Occasions were able to really capture the essence of the 1940s with stylish centerpieces.
One of our favourite parts of any event is, of course, the food! The Forth provided mouth-watering appetizers, like arancini bites, traditional spanakopita, and warm chicken skewers! Dinner was served beautifully and finished with a choice of chocolate and vanilla-whipped mousse or tasty sorbet topped with garden-fresh fruit.
Any wedding planner will tell you that entertainment is of critical importance to any event. Fortunately, with a talented team of planners putting together an event for planners, the entertainment is guaranteed to be a hit! Our friends at Brent Miller LIVE wowed the crowd with live music throughout dinner, playing favourites from every genre in their signature style. We loved the addition of the hilarious comedians from Yuk Yuk's, who kept the crowd roaring with topical humour during dinner.

The keynote speaker, Arthur from Fusion Events, discussed the importance of social media marketing and how to break into the Toronto event scene by implementing a few key strategies.
Wedding planners spend most of their time running around behind the scenes and so rarely get a chance to get on the dance floor themselves and let loose! D&W Entertainment Group got the party started and kept it going all night long!
